Bengaluru Rural Court Recruitment 2024 (eCourts.gov.in) New Notification

Established on 30 June 1978, per G.O. No. LAW 172 LCE 76, the District & Sessions Judge unit in Bengaluru Rural District began operations on 24 July 1978, with headquarters in Bengaluru City. Its jurisdiction, outlined in Government Notification No. LAW 129 LCE 86 dated 31 July 1986, covers Bengaluru and Bengaluru Rural districts, excluding Bengaluru City.

Bengaluru Rural Court

Currently, Bengaluru hosts twelve District & Sessions Courts, three Chief Judicial Magistrate Courts, nine Senior Civil Judge Courts, and five Civil Judge Courts. Each taluk—Anekal, Devanahalli, and Doddaballapura—has a District and Sessions Court. Additionally, Senior Civil Judge Courts and Civil Judge & JMFC Courts operate across these taluks.

The District Legal Services Authority assists litigants, conducting frequent legal awareness camps, with Taluk Legal Services Committees in Anekal, Devanahalli, Doddaballapura, Nelamangala, and Hosakote providing local legal services. Lok-Adalaths, including Mega Lok-Adalaths, facilitate compromise settlements, and all courts are computerized with essential library resources provided.
